You can also use 1x1 studs with a hole-punch to connect pieces of paper to a build. I have seen some very cool builds using this technique.

I made a stand from Legos for the Nintendo Switch that allows you to charge it while playing in tabletop mode. The charging port of the Switch is on the underside of the device so it needs to be elevated. It worked surprisingly well! :D
