Mozambique Island discovered by Vasco da gama really really??? That's a big lie African were already staying on the island before any Europe set foot on the island. So how come he discovered it?? Maybe Vasco da gama was the first European to see it

The rubies belong to the people who are native to Mozambique, not foreigners coming in profiting off the land. They say they are giving back by supplying equipment and resources for farming but that is only a fraction of what they make. Help develop the area through infrastructure, providing education, and jobs. Mozambique government also needs to do a better job to not allow foreigners to profit off our land while the people suffer.

It's sad to see, not native to the land they come to settle & enjoy, as an African never got the chance to enjoy their lovely country/ continent. HONOR AND RESPECT FOR RWANDA ARMY.

Was an "Australian Volunteer Abroad" in Cabo Delgado Province 1994-1996. A Terra Do Boa Gente. A magnificent country. So much potential. My Mozambican workmates, neighbours and friends deserved so much better - yet I was constantly surrounded by good humour, hard work and generosity. So disheartening to read of the problems 'Up North'.

Why would the towns/villages close to the mines be so poor? The people are native to the land so it would be expected that they should benefit from the erosion of their rubies. Weak and corrupt governments and colonization are the problems.

I'm a Mozambican, and I can only lament living in this nightmare.

Great documentary, really gave me a different narrative to what is going on in Mozambique. However, that foreign mining company has no right to treat the unemployed youth of Mozambique like that.

The whole African continent is rich in natural resources. If European multinationals stopped meddling in local politics, if blessings were equally distributed among all Africans, there would be no strife in Africa, leave alone Mozambique. Africa has more than enough to make all Africans live an easy, comfortable life. Sadly Africa doesn't have enough to satiate the greed of a few.

Os rubis são do povo. Malditos governos, imaginem quanta crueldade aconteceu e acontece nesse lugar. É muito triste ver quem somos.

Apparently these African documentaries are only made in locations where the producers can find some French people. That said, I do enjoy watching these.

Hope the people benefit from their natural resources.
