Buchla Sequential Switch

I'm interested in Generative Synthesis techniques, and both mylarmelodies and steevio have published some great videos on the subject. Unfortunately, both make use of a sequential switch module (Doepfer A151) that is not available in the Buchlidian Universe.

This video tutorial explains how I made one using components I do have: the 250e and the 256e. Note that with a 2nd 256e, I can build a oct (not merely a quad) sequential switch.

If you like this tutorial, please like the video. If you want to comment on the lighting or camera work, please leave a comment!

The first thing I think of when you ask about implementing the A-151 on the Buchla 200e would be the use of the external inputs on the 250e. From there you can choose which of the external inputs are selected as the source. That is the A-151 when it set up for a common output. To go the other way (common input), you can use a single external input on the 250e and map it to CV1, 2 or 3. I realize this is "only" three channels of output, but the patch requires nothing more than the 250e, so I think it is worth mentioning.

couldn't you use the 250e as sequential switch using the external inputs addressing? so let say 251e sequences 1, 2, 3, 4 to 250e A, B, C, D and then selecting A-B-C-D per stage?

couldn't you get that entire sequence from a single channel of the 251e?
