By far the most requested tutorial has been for knitting your first pair of socks. So if you've been wanting to learn to knit your first pair of socks, this beginner tutorial is perfect for you! This is a free pattern video for vanilla socks, and even better they use worsted weight yarn so you can have a pair of socks in just a weekend. Vanilla socks are the easiest to knit, they use only the knit stitch throughout. These socks are knit from the cuff down with a heel flap and gusset. That may sound like gibberish, but I will walk you through every section of knitting your very first sock. I'm really proud of this video, it took over 2 months to make and I'm just so excited to finally share it with you. Hope you enjoy it!

I have been really depressed the last few months, so I took up knitting. All the tutorials made me anxious because they moved so quickly and I couldn’t keep up. Then I found yours. Your voice is so calming, and you are a TRULY amazing teacher. I learned so much about knitting because of your patience. This tutorial was something for me to look forward to, and now I have a sock to show for all my hard work!! Please know that you helped this stranger get through her hardest days. Thank you 🤍

This is my first real knitting project and it was amazing, instructions were clear and the sock turned out amazing, no holes or anything doing this way of switching from needle to needle while turning. It may seem complicated but once you start knitting, it makes more sense. I just need to make one more sock... If you want to do it, do it!

You just turned a non-knitter into a knitter. I just found this tutorial and made my first sock. You are a fantastic teacher. I wish you could walk me through more projects. The hardest part was the kitchener stitch. Oh, and I ripped my sock apart about ten times before I felt I got it right. I had a hard time with picking up the same number of slip stitches on both sides. Eventually, I found them all first, and slipped toothpicks in them so I could easily identify them. That helped a lot. Please make more videos like this!

This was literally the best knitting tutorial I have ever come across. After three failed attempts of magic loop sock knitting with other videos, I came across yours and am very happy to say I've just completed my first ever successful sock! Your instruction is so clear, concise and truly beginner friendly (unlike many others that are supposed to be but aren't!). I love the way you never just presume that we've "got" something and whizz through sections in the way some other teachers do. The way you repeat things many times is so helpful in engraining it in to the mind and having the pattern to look at as we go along is not only really practical but a great way to teach us to read patterns and knit from them ourselves. Thank you so much. I shall definitely be following more of your tutorials!

I started knitting a few months ago, but I was scared to knit something bigger oder ''complicated'' (for beginner), but 5mins ago I finished my first sock by using your tutorial. It fits perfectly, made for my foot. I am really really proud of myself right now and grateful for your video and the experience you gave me! I'm overwhelmed because I never thought that I could create someting like this, even if its ''just a sock''. Can't wait to start the other one. Thank you! <3

After stopping knitting as a kid, this was my first foray back into the knitting world. Can't believe I was able to make a sock after all that time in about a week! This is a great tutorial, thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this video 💛

NEVER thought I could do it! With your very patient and precise instructions... I pulled off my first sock! I spent WEEKS looking at other videos and was about to give up. Besides your step by step tutorial, using a heavier, thicker yarn TOTALLY helps for the beginner. Now... on to the next😁

Absolutely brilliant! I am a very experienced knitter, but socks were always a “thing”. After having failed lots of times, I found your tutorial and had my first pair finished in a day! Thank you! 🙏🙏
