The game actually allows the player to use King Dedede's "Head Slide" attack, which involves him planting head-first into the ground after a dash.

Beforehand, the players could only use this move within Smash Brothers. Within Kirby games proper, it was previously a boss-only move, with King Dedede usually starting his attack patterns using it.

You perform the move in-game by pressing Down+B while dashing. It has the advantage over Hammer Twirl with a bigger invincibility time, but it has a longer fallback; as long as it usually is when you were to face him as a boss.
