How to determine the measure of an arc from an inscribed angle

Показать описание
Learn how to solve problems with arcs of a circle. An arc is a curve made by two points on the circumference of a circle. The measure of an arc corresponds to the central angle made by the two radii from the center of the circle to the endpoints of the arc.

The measure of the angle on a circle is 360 degrees, thus the measure of a major arc in terms of a minor arc is given by 360 degrees minus the measure of the minor arc and vice-versa. Also, the angles made by an arc at the circumference of a circle are equal.

Given the measure of an arc in degrees, the length of the arc can be found by multiplying the quotient of the given angle and 360 degrees to the length of the circumference of the circle.

You can see this man lose faith in humanity when his student had to ask him how he got 114°. Im sorry you are a great teacher this was wonderfully explained. Everyone is at a different level and it’s nice to see you took the time to answer what was to me a stupidly obvious question that would make me question my own abilities to teach and the students focus.
