Conclave Movie Review - Well-Made Wasted Potential

Conclave Movie Review - Great actors, stunning filmography, sharp writing. Conclave seems like a sure-fire win. Well it was, until it wasn't. The first 2/3rds are interesting, engaging and intriguing. Then it all kinda falls apart in the last act, leaving me with a "that's it?" sort of attitude. Conclave is still worth a watch but maybe keep expectations low.

Worst ending to a good movie. It's comically bad.

I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t like this movie at all. I didn’t find the mystery very interesting so it just dragged for two hours. And wtf was that ending??

The acting was great. But the story didn't make the cut for me... The ending, really??? Oh please. I was kinda left nauseated with the "gotcha" moment therein. Ralph Fiennes was his best in Schindler's List.

The way the film skips the final rounds of votes and then the woman wins, I was like what happen to Fines, he had such a lead in the vote count. What happened. I watched the last 30 minutes twice to see if I missed a clue. How did he lose to a nobody that was not even really vetted to be there?
