This is Cosmic Creeps for the Atari 2600

Another one-player game that was set in space. I look at that cartridge label and I see children that shouldn't be exposed to the dangers of space and a bunch of green Muppets running around. A rather dull affair as far as space games go, but it's certainly better than their Coconuts release:

There was no GameStop style market for used games in the 1980's, but you could find them.
The one place I saw games as a young kid in the mid 1980's was at the Midway Swap Meet. A Swap Meet is basically a giant garage sale where small vendors would layout their wares every week. The Midway Swap Meet was an old drive-in theater south of Seattle. At the Midway there was a building with fixed indoor booths, but most of the worthwhile action was in the parking area under the screen. In the mid 1980's I remember seeing a large number of 2600, Intellivision, Colecovision and other games and systems for sale. There were also a lot of pong consoles or 1970's shooting games. Midway closed in 2004, but the Swap Meet was already become more of a place to get cheap fake goods in the early 1990s.
By the late 1980's, video rental stores had started a market in used games. Our local video rental store sold old games and had a buy list. Additionally, by at least 1989 you could find advertisements to buy and sell used games in game magazines like Game Pro. This was similar to the market for buying and selling old comics issues at the time.

I actually like this game a lot. Maybe because it’s so much better than their other one Coconuts.😆 I believe if you hit up in the second part it sends out a new cosmic kid.👊🦈

I have always felt that this was one of the best looking titles on the 2600. Looks great, but not very deep.. Excellent review!
