Barbara Mandrell - 'You' and 'Years' (1989)
Показать описание
This episode of "Nashville Now" is filled with interesting Barbara Mandrell time! From early 1989, she appeared on the show to promote an "All-Star Salute to Country Music" that she was involved in organizing and hosting with Johnny Cash. It was a total surprise to Ralph Emery on the night of taping, but it was actually an "All-Star Salute to Ralph Emery!" It included 75 guests stars and even a taped message from then President of the United States, George Bush. During the interview segment, Ralph continually pressed Barbara for more details on the show and doing her best to keep the surprise finally said, "just watch it!"
There is also great footage of their holiday trip to Aspen the previous Christmas. For many years, Barbara and her family would spend time in Aspen, Colorado, during the holidays and Ralph and his wife would often join them. During the Christmas trip of 1988, Barbara and Ralph had a race on the slopes. The footage of them skiing is really great!
Finally, Barbara sings "You" to open the show and then sings her mega hit, "Years" at the end of this clip.
