Loved Rex Allen. He used to narrate movies for Walt Disney. They couldn't have picked a better voice. I met him once at a rodeo. Must have been 50 years ago. Gee how time flies.

I saw Rex at a horse show in Great Falls, Montana in 1965, RexJr. Was about 10 years old. Great voice! Ask Walt Disney.

Of the movie singing cowboys, I am 83 but I don't remember seeing any movies of Rex Allen. I did know his name, so maybe I've just forgotten. My first love was Gene Autry, then Roy Rogers. I never missed seeing many of their movies. Ahhh for those good decent movies and stars.

If I wanted to listen to a great singer, I would listen to Pavarotti. I dont. Very good voice, but not for me. I want something from the heart and songs of the common people. Roots and real.
