Evo 4 Audio Interface - Use with iPad or iPhone

How to use the Audient EVO 4 audio interface with an iPad or iPhone.

To use the Evo 4 with an iPad or iPhone that has a Lightning Port you'll need a few things.

You will need a Lightning to USB adapter, usually called the Camera Adapter, and you'll need a powered USB Hub. This is because the Evo 4 can't draw enough power from the iPhone or iPad, so be sure to get a POWERED USB Hub (powered just means you plug it in to an outlet)

You can also connect a MIDI keyboard and charge the iPad/iPhone at the same time.

Once you are all setup, you can do pretty much the same stuff you can do on a full computer with your favorite DAW. It's pretty cool.

Record a podcast, play piano, play guitar, sing, mix, etc...

You don't necessarily need to get these EXACT products! But pay attention to the USB/Camera adapter! Not all of them will work with audio devices, so check the details before picking up a really cheap one.

Tentei utilizar o Evo 8 juntamente com o IPhone 15, ocorre que conecto o violão na saída 1 e o microfone na saída 2, a gravação fica estéreo, violão na esquerda e microfone na direita, sem falar que no IPhone as entradas 3 e 4 não funcionam. É importante informar que a Firmware foi atualizada.

I set up the exact same system but added a SM7B mic with cloudlifter. When I attach the cable adapter to my iPad, the sound quits coming out of the IPAD speakers. Thoughts?

Have a question as I dont know shit about Ipad and MIDI - will this be able to communicate MIDI with a computer if the usb hub is also connected to a PC ? Does it even communicate midi if the ipad is directly connceted to the pc ?

again, if i plug in the mic (sm7b) to evo4 and also my headset with the ipad connected via apple cam thingy--i dont hear the mic. i have to plug the headset to the ipad to hear sound and then it sounds like its recording the room from the internal ipad mic. (all kinda noise) how to fix this if i can? Is evo4 not capable to that?

I bought this recently with my bass guitar and the audio sounds like garbled mess. I’ve tried it with GarageBand, Cubasis LE 3 and every other bass amp modeller on the apple App Store and it’s the same. If you have a solution consider me subbed.


Edit: got it. It was the firmware that needed updating. I was usually the interface initially on my iPad. Once I connected it to my laptop and installed the Evo software the forewarn updated resolved the issue.

Can UR44C be used to connect ipad pro with electric piano korg D1 and speaker JBL 305p to make the sound source for playing ipad pro sound out of the speaker?

Hoping they will make the Evo16 compatible with the Ipad App so I can move around with my Ipad.

Evo 4 must be firmware updated, as out of the box it gave me noisy recordings on the iPad. That's something it keeps doing when I am recording on my smartphone. I have the suspicion it is the 4g signal because the times I disengaged it, the recordings came out ok.
