Great video. My husband and I have been around the world 5 times so far. We are planning another trip around the world next year. (We follow the sun so we are 5 days younger, haha). We are in our early 70’s and usually travel for about 2 months at a time. Take care and God bless.

I have to say J&B, one of the worst things about life in general is also having too much "stuff" in our lives, it's a trap many fall into. Travelling light has so many benefits. I guess we could say it's predominantly a "first world problem". Happy New Year 2025 with lots of travel to interesting places to you both.

We do a mix of fast and slow travel, combined with a mix of hotel, apartment and van stays. There is no one way to travel! We also feel like we are learning so much by traveling.

Thank you for sharing what works for you and why. Sorry you have received criticisms for your choices. I'm glad you are able to dismiss them and focus on the positive people your travels and social media presence have brought into your lives. When my wife and I retire, we will do things differently than you, but that's okay. For example, we don't have very much family to stay with and will need to maintain our own place for our home base. Your situation is different and that's okay. It is all about making the most in retirement and not sitting around doing nothing! Ugh! We know too many people who do that and they don't seem very happy. Hope your train trip is going well!
