Patagonia Men's Stretch Rainshadow Jacket

I got a men’s 2020 Rainshadow the last year they were made, it’s been great. Looks great fits well and last year went through a week of constant rain and kept me dry, didn’t even end up using the pit zips once it breathed enough with a fleece layer.

Both jackets you mentioned can survive all day hiking in moderate rain - that's what they were designed for. The M10 jacket is a much more lightweight and packable jacket with a more breathable membrane design. It's a 3-layer waterproof breathable fabric and it's much lighter in weight than the Stretch Rainshadow. The Rainshadow Jacket will offer that stretch movement, pit zips, and a 2.5 layer waterproof/breathable construction so it still certainly holds up to foul weather. It's a slightly heavier denier fabric, so it will be more durable than the M10 but also weigh more overall. Thanks for watching!

How's this option for downpours? Like consistent 10-30 minute exposure to downpours? and long term water repellency/water proofing of the jacket?
