This is Lesson 9 from our guitar course “Music Theory 2”. In this lesson we’re going to look at how to find the sharps or flats in any Major Scale. Building a Major Scale using the letter names is really easy because it just follows the musical alphabet. The hard part is knowing where the sharps and flats go in each Major Scale.

For anyone not understanding why it isn’t F then G#/A flat it’s because in the previous vid he said that it would be G# because it is the next letter in the musical alphabet as well as the regular alphabet. Therefore, it can’t be B flat. (Just a refresher)
