Is that my impression, or are the keyboard keys better than M1’s? It seems to me a great middle ground between the old scissor keyboard and the butterfly one.

The added space on the screen is mostly an illusion since you can't actually use that space. It's for the Apple menu bar. Reall y great design, but it doesn't make the screen really that much larger at all.

Ok ~ So here's what I'm thinking regarding the new MacBook ~ I'm wondering if smaller / skinnier and lighter does that make it easier to damage if you drop it or if it gets miss-handled in any way ~ I'm thinking Repairs ~

This M2 was rushed to market for game development, using old tech. The one you want comes later, the 3nm M2 Pro, which in classic Apple naming confusion will beget the Mac M2 Pro MacBook Pro.
