I am 17 years old, I graduated high school when i was 15. I finished my pre requisite classes for college and am going to take the HESI Nursing exam in a couple of weeks. Wish me luck. After the exam, i will enter the nursing's program and study for 2.5 years and graduate from the program and hopefully work at clinicals and hospitals and be an RN? Wish me luck people <3

Budding nursing students should always seek a BSN path. There are exceptions when some cannot attend a 4-year degree. Many hospitals require a BSN or will only hire you if you are enrolled in an ADN to BSN program. Many bedside nurses have a master's degree as well (MSN). Nurse struggle for full acceptance as professionals among the other professional they work with. Many team members have doctorates (physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists) and minimally a master's (social workers, nurse anesthetists, case managers, and even physician therapists). Even with a BSN, many nurses struggle to be recognized for the impact, importance, and essential role they play. To be a nursing professor, most school seek doctorate-prepared nurses. I just got my PhD and could not be any happier and more proud. Education is a life-long journey. Set you sights high.

Granddaughter went the ABSN route. She will graduate from a year long course on Dec 18, 2020. Already hired at Houston Methodist for residency program.

ADN takes longer then 2 years. You have two years of classes then two of clinicals. Even going as fast as humanly possible it’s like 3 years
