translation for those who need it, Jaylons assignment was to be where he picked the ball off, but he got greedy trying to cut off another route, and instead of that biting him in the tail, he recognized both route concepts that would be near his responsibility of the field, and immediately retreated to the other route which put him in possession to catch an interception. This is someone being greedy but so gifted instead of messing things up, their mess up put them in the best position possible 😂

For anyone wondering Palms (extremely simplified) is two safeties and two boundary corners playing equal deep zones so basically 4 guys spread out deep downfield resembling a palm tree. Theres more nuance to it obviously but that’s the general gist of it. JJ was supposed to be downfield but obviously cheated up when he wasn’t supposed to and recovered extremely well to make the pick. That’s the convo in super basic terms lol
