I’m a Trump voter but inflation still would’ve happened if Trump was still president. Post-pandemic inflation happened all over the planet. Europe, Japan, South America, Australia, they all experienced the same increase in prices that America did, so the problem goes beyond politics

Trump asks, "Were you better off 4 years ago?" Four years ago, August 2020, covid was in full effect, my employer was cutting hours, my uncle died of covid, my daughter spent 4 days in the hospital because of covid, the tariffs Trump imposed already caused a massive supply shortage of ICs (computer chips) at our company, my best friend would die by the end of the year because of covid, and i was finding ways to cut my monthly budget, like getting rid of my cable and slashing my food budget, in case i lost my job. Other countries were testing heavily but Trump dragged his feet so covid tests were still unavailable in the U.S. which meant places like restaurants and other public places were shut down or had hours cut. No, i wasn't better off 4 years ago. It wasn't until about 2 years ago that the company I'm at finally stabilized and we once again felt our jobs were secure.
