I OWN NOTHING! This was a request. Music is by Bruce Broughton and is from the Homeward Bound Soundtrack. This compilation includes every version of the main theme used throughout the film to represent the persevering trio of pets, Shadow, Chance, and Sassy, as they cross the dangerous countryside to be reunited with their beloved owners again. Imagine being contracted to score a celebrity-animal kids movie in the early 90's and instead of phoning it in, you pump out an American classic not only in the style of, but on the level of Aaron Copland.

Hands DOWN one of the best musical scores of ALL time. It is insanely underrated. This movie makes me laugh and cry and remember the better days when I was a kid. Hell, I am crying just listening to this song right now. Life isnt as pure as it was back then.

I watched this movie religiously each and every time I visited my grandparents as a kid (They lived across country). I recently saw the movie again for the first time in maybe 20 years. The nostalgic feeling it gave me was indescribable. Listening to just the soundtrack makes me feel happy and sad at the same time for some reason. Beautifull movie and music.

Damn, They don't make them like this anymore. Close your eyes listen to this score and you feel like you can do anything. I felt that way then and now in my 30s I still feel the same way. It truly is an incredible journey and an incredibly score.

I'm not even remotely ashamed to admit that I always tear up whenever Shadow and Chance reunite with Sassy. That part always turns me into a little kid, and I can't help but get a little extra moisture in my eyes.

One of the most underrated scores I've ever seen. (Listened to) Can't believe Homeward Bound's so underrated. This was one of my earliest introductions to film scoring and I think it instilled a love of soundtracks in me. Maybe even helped to instill a love of music in me. Thank you Bruce Broughton.

This music, combined with the mountainous photography/video from the movie is enough to bring even the toughest of us to all out tears. As a die hard naturalist, this is one of my most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. On a side note, I would give almost anything to live where the man who finds Sassy on the crick bank lives. Pure natural beauty. Rewatch the movie if you're not sure what I mean. A cozy little cabin next to a HUGE open area of wildflower fields, a pond, and wildlife roaming around. That's my idea of a PERFECT place to live.

Such an amazing movie. At a younger age, I always liked Chance and his young independence. Just going along because, why not, but thinking he really didn't need anyone, and being so brave that nothing scared him. A lot did, but, he wanted to look tough.
But as I grew older, I've come to have a strong respect for Shadow. His aversion to conflict, bravery, and loyalty.

Anyone remember the second movie, in San Francisco? When the house is burning, Shadow went in and lead the little boy out.
