The International Business Machines or IBM is a multinational company of America that focuses on business consulting services and solutions with innovative products. IBM jobs are very prestigious and a lot of candidates keep focused on getting into IBM at any point in their career. Usually, the company recruits freshers through on-campus process. The campus recruitment happens in fall and in spring. The candidates would be eliminated through group discussion and written test. Those who are shortlisted would be called in for the first level of interview. This interview would include case interviews where the candidate’s skills would be understood. The candidates are usually selected in technical, finance, marketing, management and consulting department. The IBM BPO jobs and consulting jobs are available for candidates with varying educational qualification. The management candidates, both graduates and post graduates (diplomas from business schools) would be placed in management and marketing departments.
The IBM jobs for freshers are usually provided at trainee level or as assistant manager. The engineering candidates would be selected for the technical positions as trainee and other candidates in management field would be shortlisted for assistant manager positions. The candidates who are shortlisted would be called in for the final level interview in IBM. The candidate’s interpersonal skill, ambitions, attitude, general awareness, out-of-the-box thinking capacity and other skills would be tested. Those who are selected would be placed in the induction program.
Those who are not opting for campus recruitment have to apply for the jobs in IBM through the official site. The candidates can sign up and register their resumes for the talent acquisition test to get in touch with the resume whenever there is a vacancy apt for the candidate. The selection process might slightly vary. The syllabus, pattern and the type of written test also varies from one position to another. For instance, IBM software testing jobs would not have the same written test pattern as that of a management position.
