In public schools in the U.S. (certainly in New York City) there is a new buzzword, "Equity", yes equality is not enough. Equality relies on equal opportunity, whereas equity demands equal outcome. However to achieve equity that system is now geared towards creating it artificially. Even if the effort is not equal, the outcome will be made equitable.

In the same training, MLK's "Color Blind Society" was brought up. The trainers quickly stated that MLK's speech was co-opted by the Alt Right, and misinterpreted intentionally. Then they said, a "Color Blind Society" denies the struggles that POC suffered, and is meant to whitewash history and absolve white guilt for the racist system they supported, even tacitly so by their silence.

MLK is not respected today by the modern left in the USA.

Feel secure to do WHAT, exactly? Will we have to make games with all-gay random encounter tables? Is a gay going to want to play only gay adventurers? How will these characters be different in the job of exploring dungeons, defusing traps and slaying monsters? How will they do it differently? Will they open locks by a process of fellatio? What, then?? What are the secret gay procedures and spells they are not secure enough to reveal to outsiders, with Druze-like levels of secrecy?

I refuse to game with anyone who doesn't speak English. Then if the lab results from the stool, urine, hair and blood samples meet my standards being of the correct blood type, sex, ethnicity, allergic vulnerability etc, then I hire a group of private investigators to collect data on the potential new member of the gaming group. If the data indicates their of the correct or desirable political affiliation, sexual orientation, religious denomination, dietary practice, body fat ratio, national citizenship, credit score etc than I approach the potential player. I express my interest in them joining the gaming group and ask them if they're willing to take a series of aptitude tests, medical, mental, physical and academic. If the candidate passes these test they will then be required to swear an oath to the party and to me personally the DM. After their oath they must preform a series of deeds in the quest to prove their worthiness and pay a small fee. Then there's the group beat in.

You are one unique individual...just like everyone else, so sit down, shut up and play with who ever is at the table. They are part of your team, today. Don't like it? Leave and nothing else needs to be said. No one should have to say that you are or are not included. It has always been, 'do you want to play? Then, let's do this!'
Now letting someone into your own home, is a completely different matter. Letting someone into your home, takes a lot of trust.
Apparently much has changed since the 90's, back when I played, regularly. If I see this crap going on, I will leave, myself. I play to get away from political crap like this. We don't need it. Just play!

I hear you. I help run an AL group in lower Manhattan that I've been involved with for three years, and my players run the spectrum. I'm an older player, white male, but if I make a minor error my players don't jump on me for it. We're friends after all. I just want to give some positive info … it's not an us/them situation (you know this already)

Woke separatism is bad for gaming generally (as in society in general), but there is a certain convenience in the self-selection of deviant narcissism. How do you play at a table where everyone demands that their character be the center of attention while accusing others of being “ist”?
