Today I wanted to show you a look into the books I currently have checked out from the library as well as share about a library experiment that I am running this month (that is going very well so far). Since there were so many books mentioned in this video I'm not going to link them all today.

Our library max is 60 articles. It can be books, DVD’s, puzzles, games, etc. 3 weeks on books. I have around 12 books out right now plus a bunch on Overdrive and Libby. Love using the library. I have even asked for new books and graphic novels and they have been approved!

We definitely check out over the limit at our library-I think they do it by dollar value- but the librarians all just override the limit if it comes up when we check out! They don't care, they love that we use the library. Especially during the school year, when I'm requesting all the books for our history and science, I regularly have anywhere up to 40+ books on hold and pick up 5-30 books at a time. Currently I have 38 items out on my card, plus there are also books on my childrens' cards. Such a great resource, especially for homeschooling! The librarians love to see my holds come in to find out what we're currently studying.😊 I tend to limit books for my own reading because I have SO MANY on my own shelves to read, but I generally have at least a middle grade, a non-fic, and fic out for myself too.

I also have the 100 year old man who climbed out the window too! I love the library Bookclub and being the youngest. I have a two coworkers that started a little Bookclub with me during the pandemic because we were essential and in the beginning it was slow so we could read a bit 🤭 I'm the youngest and only girl but it's fun. We each take turns picking the book of the month to read so we can get out of our genre comfort zone.

Hi Chantel

Good for you for using your Library - Wow - 40 Plus Books checked out from the Library - that is a lot of books.

I am allowed to check out up to 100 Books from my local Library and keep them for three weeks as long as somebody does not want them.

I hope that you will enjoy your 40 plus Library Books.

Take Care & Happy Reading ❤️🤗🔰🙏

We always have TONS of library books out. We are constantly requesting and picking up loads of books. I used to feel so bad that I was always requesting so many. Our librarian said she loved that we did that and it was great for library circulation!

I really like Jennifer Nielsen too...favorites are The Resistance (adult-pair with K. Hannah's, Nightingale)& Words on Fire. The Things We Cannot Say is very good...dual timelines. My favorite Marissa Meyer book is Heartless ❤️Thx for sharing your library haul shelves!

I like that you have separate shelves for your library books. I'm interested in some of your checkouts. I'm also curious to see if you'll dnf certain books. 🤔
Because I'm participating in your read your own bookshelf challenge, I'm trying not to get loads of books from the library! LOL So currently no more than 3.

I just did a library unhaul yesterday -- had 43 books out and was feeling very self-righteous because I returned a ton of them...but then I picked up my holds and did a bit of browsing and now I have 43 books out from my library...again! So 43 is my magic number I guess. lol

I really want to read Dear Mrs. Bird, too! We usually have under 20 books out at a time, but I occasionally order like 30-40 to check into, but not as much for my kids. They are normally just pulling from our shelves. 🤷🏻‍♀️♥️ I think it’s because I don’t want to keep track of all those books. My two older girls will order things, too, occasionally.

I typically check out 2-4 physical books for myself, 2 sets of Adventures in Odyssey CDs for the van, and at least 10 books for my kids. I also check out ebooks through my library's apps.

I just discovered your YouTube channel and I’m so grateful that I did! That’s wonderful that your library allows you to check out 100 books at a time!! I also make wonderful use when it comes to my local library and I get so excited when I see holds have arrived from the library I’ve really been enjoying sharing my library to be read stacks

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who checks out a ton of books from
The library! I would say 98% of what I read is from the library.

That's pretty cool your library put the amount of money saved. What neat feature

100 books?? That’s awesome. Our library has a 30 book maximum per household and with kids we can fly through that in a week LOL.

I finally got Shadows In the Mind's Eye from my library today, it was on my most Anticipated video too. I love Jennifer A. Nielsen, I just finished Words On Fire last week. And I'm really hoping to read The Ogress and the Orphans soon. It sounds so good.

Just finished The Words Between Us. It was a good read. Kind of a unique story. Not swept away by it but I liked it. I have the 100 year old man on my TBR pile too.

You like historical fiction, and I have a Mystery/Detective Fiction suggestion for the Charles Todd series, DI Ian Rutledge or Nurse Bess Crawford. Based around WWI, Bess is a nurse in the war, and DI Rutledge is right after the war. If you have read them, I hope you enjoyed them.

I am loving those shelves Jared built! They look great! I totally need to try your experiment.. I don't usually like trying a chapter and then not reading it but it would be way better than returning a bunch of unread books only to check them out again in the future!
