No joke, my sister chose this song for her walk-on anthem at her wedding, as opposed to something more traditional like Wagner's 'Bridal Chorus'.

Mr. Hisaishi is a masterful composer, to our generation what Mozart, Bach and Beethoven were to theirs. Kudos to him, and to you for the beautiful rendition!

I decided to watch Howls Moving Castle JUST because of this song.

I haven't heard this tune since january when I was in the psychiatric ward for 11 days, had a friend who was there longer. She is 12 now, but has been in the hospital at least 15 times. Anyways, she made me watch Howl's moving castle TWICE. then, the same week she was discharged, another patient watched it. I had to sit there in the same room the whole time they played it because they put me on "one on one" basically constant watch, sleeping, pissing, you get it.
This song brings back an odd sense of comfort, discomfort, and sadness thanks to the memories. It also reminds me of my friends of my 6th time, (the last time I ever went there). We would go on the porch during when it was freezing cold, I wore just a gown and underwear so I was freezing, but, they had a ukulele. We grabbed the song sheets from the CD room, and I saw a song I knew, (literally the easiest song). My friend from school was there, and there was some boy, and my original friend left. We had the lyric sheet, and decided to play. My friend from school was singing, the guy there stood snapping to the beat, and I played the ukulele. Best memory that I had during my worst times.
