Fine and dandy, the Angelenos are still 1.5 up on the Rockies. But as a long-time Dodger fan, my thinking is that the Dodgers will go 4-2 at the end, but the Rockies will run the table and thereby finish a game ahead of the Dodgers, while St. Louis will win five of its last six games, Milwaukee will refrain from collapsing, and the Dodgers will miss the postseason. I still remember 1991, when the Atlanta Braves won eight in a row at the end to go from two behind with nine to play to two ahead with one to play. I hope I am merely being pessimistic.

I just feel for the padres, but they seem to locate every single s#%*whole offered and jump right into it. At least, they DO go down in style, and there are few that do the same nowadays.

But on the other hand:
Getting run like this by the finest Dodgers of all time is somewhat of a treat. You seem to be forced to admire this team and watch in complete passive mode. Yes, that's how divine they appear and rule.

If anyone else wins the World Series this season, something just did not go as it should have. And I am considering myself a die hard Red Sox fanatic here, just in case you didn't know.
