I was a little boy 12 years old and I am 42 years old now. It’s the best word cup I’ve ever seen. What a beautiful time it was 😊😊😊

The venues, the bright sunshine, the colors, those unique nets which looked so cool everytime the ball hit them... those were the reasons i fell in love with this world cup and with football in general. In those days, I was living in a neat multicultural neighbourhood of numerous nationalities and nearly everybody was into this event. Especially the Italians of the neighbourhood were the ones who created a great atmosphere. They went nuts each time Italy won. Us kids would be playing at the pitches in front of the neighbourhoods different apartment buildings while a game was on. Parents at the balconies would shout to us when someone scored. It was a magical atmosphere.
A couple of months after this tournament i was already so nostalgic and was missing those magic weeks during the summer and wished to see the whole world cup again so i wrote a letter (as a 9 year old kid) to the Eurosport broadcast company and asked them if they could show all the Highlights again 😄 (this was before the Internet obviously)
They even were kind enough to write me a letter back and informed me that they couldn't do it due to copyright restrictions. What a time that was.

not sure because I'm getting old and perception changes, but this was the best WC I have ever seen and enjoyed. Top-class players, teams, the stadiums... I can remember how much I liked the fact they used those large goal nets on every stadium. Great memories, football was way more fun before :)
