In this video I will show you how to read the Thrall and Pet stats page to find all the info about your thrall and pet.

Mods in this video:

Conan Exiles is an open-world survival game, in the brutal lands of Conan The Barbarian. You are an exile, one of thousands cast out to fend for themselves in a barbaric wasteland swept by terrible sandstorms and besieged on every side by Enemies. Here you must fight to survive, build and dominate.

Hungry, thirsty and alone, your very first battle is that against the harsh environment. Grow crops or Hunt animals for food. Harvest Resources to Craft Weapons and Tools. Build a shelter to survive. Ride across a vast world and explore alone, or band together with other players to build entire Settlements and Strongholds to withstand fierce invasions.

When strong enough, march forth into battle and wage war against your enemies as you fight to dominate the exiled lands. Sacrifice enemy Players on the Altars of the Gods and shift the balance of power your way. Unleash your fury in savage, fast-paced Combat and execute bloody and bone-crushing attacks that will see heads rolling and limbs flying.

Another thing that I've learned (for most followers and pets, at any rate), is that you can read across the food row and know what the food with buff the growth chance without looking it up or testing it. Reading across the row, it's just like reading down the stat row. Str, Ag, Vit, Acc, Sur. The very first entry, though it gives the least in terms of health regen, usually gives a 25% damage buff. So there's something to be said for that, if you feel like your follower/pet won't need max regen, and hitting hard is more important. An extra 15% damage is, especially on an already hard-hitting follower, a huge boost.

On the subject of food, food from their list will indeed boost stat growth %. Food from the list will also give them 10% bonus damage for one hour, EXCEPT for one food, which will give them 25% bonus damage!!! This is cooked pork for humans and rotten flesh for the skeleton legionaires. I level my humans with gruel for the growth bonus, then feed them cooked pork through a thrall pot once they hit level 20 for the bonus damage without wasting stacks of pork.

Nice (and a good reminder that I need to go back and pay a bit more attention to my pets' strength damage mods :) ). One thing I've been finding interesting with the pet foods, but definitely haven't figured out the pattern to yet, is how they prioritise foods if you give them multiple options. (obvious solution, don't give them multiple options, lol, but anyway...) I've found that Hyenas prioritise eating low hp-value savoury flesh or human flesh over their high hp foods like meat strips, but then shalebacks seem to choose high hp aloe leaves before plant fibres or shellfish. Not sure yet with a lot of the others (cats maybe like 1 hp feral flesh better than 10 hp blood sausage - maybe a hint of a pattern that predators like lower hp foods, or just a coincidence, or not even correct...). A really unimportant thing to try to figure out, but I kinda like it from an RP perspective, like they have tastes and preferences. Means I can give them the occasional treat while trying not to blow their diet ;)

Can you do a video of all the different pet classes stats?
The pet species makes the perks they get varied. Like feline pets get different perk names/types than the bugs.

25 strength? I never seen a berserker with 25 in strength from lvl 0. This has to be a mod.

What does Survival and Agility give to a Pet? or Thrall?

I think it's still more than a bit confusing even after your explanation, Wak. I think it would be helpful to do a before and after comparison when a thrall has leveled up. However, I suspect even a better explanation is going to leave unanswered questions.

It's not clear how the growth chance percentages are used. They add up to more than 100%, so presumably they apply independently to each attribute, a level-up event doesn't chose a single attribute with the chances given and then apply all the available points to that attribute. So how are the XP points actually divvied up and applied?

Then there's the question of how attribute points get translated into bonus percentages. For example, how does 25(+9) = 34 Strength points get translated to 28% Strength Melee Damage Bonus? And apparently Strength uses a different system from Vitality because Vitality Health Bonus isn't a percentage, it's 3250 (health points?) when the Vitality attribute is 30. But the thrall's health shows as 5830, not 3250. Where did the other 2580 points come from?

I really think Funcom over-thought the entire system and made it too complicated and way too random. They should simplify both the thrall leveling system and the player leveling system. It makes no sense that a level 20 thrall is more powerful than a level 60 player. It also makes no sense that a tier 1 thrall can end up being more powerful than a tier 4 thrall. Furthermore it makes no sense that a fighter thrall can have more accuracy than an archer thrall, and vice versa, an archer thrall can have more strength than a fighter thrall. And they should make agility really and truly make the character (player or thrall) more agile (better top speed, better acceleration, higher jumping and farther dodging), not just put hidden armor on it. Finally, it's confusing to have both a vitality attribute and a survival attribute. There should be only one attribute that controls both the size of your health pool and whatever it is that survival controls (the efficiency of your stomach and digestive tract?)

The problem in this game is the bad RNG... You try to level up a fighter and gives points to accurancy and some times take out from strengh... You see some special archers they start with strengh 20 and nothing on accurancy.... The stats in this game are a total mess.... We hope that one day.... somebody will fix it... Thanks for your videos man.

If you get a thrall with a natural 100% growth chance in a stat, strength as an example. When it levels up and gains X(?) Strength, would it gain more strength if I gave it +% strength food too?
