Why is Vox jealous of Angel Dust in Hazbin Hotel?

Did you notice this in Hazbin Hotel?

Throughout the series you might’ve picked up on the fact that vox actively hates angel dust.

Vox sounded kind of happy thinking that Angel might have quit.

During the end of the poison song vox again smiles at angel, again pointing to him having a bone to pick with angel.

So there’s multiple aspects to this. Firstly vox is likely just sick and tired of val going on and on about angel, because he does this in nearly every scene he’s in. So vox would prefer if angel was just gone for good.

Secondly there’s obviously some jealousy involved. Vox’s character is centered around jealousy, envy and insecurity. Vox and val have an on and off again relationship, but vox would be upset at the amount of time and affection val gives to angel. He sees him as a threat, and would likely want him out of the picture. I reckon we’ll see this conflict unfold further in season 2.

If he wants Angel gone, then he's going to love it if he gets redeemed. Would be funny if he even tried to help him, not because he has a good side, but because he wants him gone for good so Valentino could stop his yapping about him.

Vox is always jealous about everything especially with Alastor involved, but maybe he gets annoyed with Valentino for his temper tantrums and his constant rambling about Angel being absent from the studio. After all, Val and Vox are in a relationship together whether its on or off.😅💘📺🦋

I do like how Vox immediately tosses aside this fact for a couple of minutes when he finds out Alastor is at the hotel and after the Stayed gone song if angel could spy on them.

When I see Vox look over at Angel, his smile was there for a second because he was still talking to Valentino. But his smile goes away in the next second. His frown looks a bit concerned to me, as if noticing how Angel doesn’t look good. In the next second, he smiles back at Val and disappears. But I guess that’s just my perspective.

Funny how despite the two of them getting annoyed at each other over it, they’re both the same with their attitudes. Val’s obsessed with angel, Vox is obsessed with Alastor. Both of them are also prone to throwing temper tantrums and getting incredibly petty whenever they’re mad.

I always interpreted that last part of Poison as Angel being tricked into this contract by thinking Val loved him, so he was somewhat okay putting up with the abuse, but then he sees Valentino with Vox, realizes that Val never gave a shit about him, and now has nothing
