Last year in London i got the chance to set up a session with my friends Solomon Grey where we filmed a live performance of our song "Diamonds". it was one of the highlights of an amazing year for me and i'm really happy to be able to share it with you now. to me, joe's voice sounds even more amazing live than on the record, so we kept the instrumentation minimal in order to keep the focus on the emotion carried by his voice. enjoy.

you can buy or stream Diamonds on Anjunadeep:

I still remember that night, I was out on a camp night out with my friends by the lake. We were sitting and chilling near the lake, listening to music and having a great time. There were other people around too who were there and When I started playing Lane 8 songs, specially Diamonds, everyone just went quiet and listening to this magical song, nodding their heads. It was truly magical, specially @ 3 AM when the MilkyWay Galaxy was visible in the Dark sky, lane 8 was the perfect choice and timing was perfect.

I am telling you that all of us that appreciate this music have a very distinct outlook and perspective of life. Something allows us to like this music and I believe it is our genuine appreciation of life and the near infinite amount of emotions it brings.

I see your face on the cover
Gloss paint your lips like a lover
Hot blood starts flooding into memories
What you said still haunts like a melody

Those times they shine like diamonds
Shoot up this love affair
White lies like knives in a poison heart
I keep running but I never seem to the lose the dark

Why don't you go and break the heart of me
Just take another little part of me
Why don't you go and take the heart of me
I tell myself it's just the start of me

The emotion is the key here . The passion with which he is singing the song . That's the winner .

Just watch how mesmerized Solomon Grey is by his own vocals.. that's true passion and emotion. It's almost as if the music is coming to him and he is amazed by its beauty.

I remember I had the most fantastic days while it was so beautiful and sunny, this song would be on replay when I was sweating while working out in the gym all the way to me driving up to San Fran with my ex ; we would get so high and smoke backwoods will top shelf weed and go on adventures. Almost gives me anxiety listening to it, where does all your time go?

Discovered Lane 8 about 2 years ago...Live version and video is amazing. This song has some really great layers to it. Vocals defiantly make it happen.
Hoping to see the show in Denver on September 9th.
