9 years later but still a very helpful video for me, just picked up a Fluval Edge 46litre tank, so lots of good tips to help me set it up 👍🏻

This is my first aquarium and I haven't ever changed the water in a tank. Getting the basics on my tank was exactly what I needed. Thank you for the hand holding!

Great tips even for those of us with the Fluval Edge 6 gallon! (I especially appreciate knowing that you clean the filter medium with aquarium water.)

This video was super helpful for a beginner aquarium enthusiast like myself interested in purchasing this tank. Thanks for posting! Maintenance doesnt seem as bad as I thought on this tank.

Great vids. I had some experience with trying to keep Bettas years ago. It was well before YouTube was what it is now and it was difficult to get reliable advice. I usually ended up losing them due to not knowing what I was doing. Videos like this are very helpful and entertaining for people who are interested.

thank you! this video was super helpful. I derped and tried to remove the filter of my fluval edge 12g before I unplugged the power of the tank..a lot of the sludge from the filter came through the waterfall into the main tank and I freaked a little, hence being the reason why I found your video on fluval edge maintenance..I'm not worried too much since my tank is fairly new, but I will definitely never make that mistake again.

I've been scared of live plants for a long time because of things I read or heard about algae issues having to use co2 and plants having parasites. I think the co2 mostly scared me away and made me think it would be too complicated to keep plants and that I would fail at keeping them alive. I always kind of wanted plants because they look nicer to me and help with nitrates. You really inspired me in this video to not be scared of plants. since seeing this I went out and bought some Argentine swords, Amazon swords and Anubis and put them in my two tanks, they have been in there for about a month now and are doing great. the Amazon's are growing like crazy! not so much with the other two but still doing well. so thank you so much. it's made a new phase in my fish hobby that makes me excited to see my plants grow and my tank look more natural and have a healthier environment.

Thank you so much for this video. I was on the fence about getting this tank and seeing what goes into cleaning it has really helped. :)

Great!  Easy to follow. I like  the fact you explain the "what to do"  and "why you do it"  Keep up the good work.

Thanks Pecktec. I've enjoyed watching your videos on the Fuvel Edge. I have an old Aqua One 165 litre (43 gallon) aquarium which is too large for me to maintain now. I have one goldfish which is 12cm long (5 inches) and I've had him/her for about 6 years. I'm looking at the Fugal Edge 23 litre (6 gallon) aquarium for him - hope it's big enough - and maintenance has GOT to be easier as it takes me around 2-3 hours to clean the Aqua One due to algae etc ! Anyway, I found your videos really helpful :)

Although this is by no means difficult and the instructions tell you what to do(it's pretty much the same as putting in the media the first time, except this time you do them one-by-one so not to mess up the biology), it is a very good video and for those of us starting out it helps a lot to see it done, visually.

I have not kept fish for some time, but I did used to breed them and filters have moved on, so watching a quick demo has been very handy - I would like to get back in to tropical fish and have picked up some good tips through online videos.

Especially the one about cleaning the media, instead of replacing it - unless of course there is a valid need to replace it.

Thank you

Thank you for the instructional video, I am quite the beginner and have tried dabbling with an aquarium before with no luck (and lack of knowledge). This Fuval Edge looks stylish and relatively easy to take care of so I might try again !

I have the same aquarium and got some lessons from you today. Going ahead I will stop to over clean the media filter on tap water and hope to get a healthier thank. I have been facing a lot of algies on my plants and so far I have not been successful to get rid of the problem, I end up with less plant but that has build up the NO3 levels. My aquarium takes a lot of light from the windows and probably I will find a better spot to avoid the excess of algies on the glass and over the plants. I like your cool approach dealing with aquariums, keep the good work. Excellent video. Thanks.

I'm new to aquarium fish. i bought a fluval edge because it looked really nice in the living room. I'm gonna replace the water and sponge, biomax etc tomorrow. Your video will help me a big time as well. Will see how it goes. First time replacing water too lol.

Your videos are great and it’s not all about the plants it’s about the fish.
