Science Fiction: A Montage

You want science fiction movies? You got science fiction movies. Nearly 150 of them. From "A. I." to "X the Man with the X-Ray Eyes," from 1902 to 2012. Grab a snack, sit back, and enjoy.

I highly recommend turning off the annotations and just enjoying the images or seeing how many you can identify.

I keep coming back to this. I have prolly seen this montage more than 50 times over the years. It's awe inspiring. I don't have anything other to add except thanks for making this!

Awesome montage! It was a pleasant surprise to see a From Beyond (6:01) scene in there 😄

This was a great montage I must say. Also gave me some new movies to watch that had slipped through the cracks, thanks for listing them, and again, great job!

Oh, and good on you, by the way, for including The Man from Earth and Enemy Mine.

Clara, thanks very much for the kind words! And yeah, electronic makes sense for sci-fi, but I got the idea for this whole thing while listening to "Jupiter, " so I couldn't not use it. By the way, your montages are excellent. I especially like the swordfight one and the Inception one (that Depeche Mode track is killer).

Worth it for Holst's Jupiter alone.

Good, Silent Running and Monsters got clips, both very underrated SF movies.

Mister, you are a monster for doing this (monster in a good sense). I always wanted to edit a big tribute to sci-fi genre including all its big themes. Personally, I would have gone for a less classical soundtrack, something a little more electronic, maybe, but this is an astonishing work, no doubt.

Laputa is a Miyazaki classic, and Mars Needs Moms was one of the biggest box office busts of history and (I think) remains criminally underrated to this day.

Lovely video! The only two significant missing things I noticed were Mars Needs Moms and Laputa: Castle in the Sky.

Very much appreciated, James. I will keep an eye on you, your Evil Dead video is very interesting too :)

I've not seen either. I also didn't have "The City of Lost Children" or personal favorite "The Day the Earth Caught Fire, " but let's keep that between us.
