The Polish Winged Hussars relieved Vienna, not Hungarian Cavalry. In fact, when mercenaries, hired to fight against Poland, found they may well face the Winged Hussars either their price shot way up, or they refused to go.

This list without the winged hussars is a joke

The Polish version of the Hussars developed in Poland achieved biggest victories in terms of the ratio of forces, and among other things occupied Moscow with Żółkiewskie for 2 years, which the Russians still consider a national holiday :))) the fact that this unit you dont mention is a joke from Hungary mainly the name came which caught on in Poland. The Hussars themselves fought differently in Poland, they also had horses specially bred in Poland, etc.

This list is suitable for a caberet without the Polish hussars, which, among other things, captured Moscow and historically achieved the greatest victories in terms of the ratio of forces because they won many times against a much larger opponent

Idiott made this list because the Polish-Lithuanian Hussars dominated in the region few houndere years, the Cossacks themselves often fought like infantry or in camps constructed of wagons connected by chains where they hide from the Polish cavalry and shot or entered into an alliance with the Tatars who conducted guerrilla and guerrilla warfare on horses and sabotage raids

Hungarian Hussars and Polish Hussars (the ones from the battle of Vienna) are two different things. Hussars: Originating as Hungarian light cavalry in the 15th century, they were experts in skirmishes and played a vital role in European warfare. Though distinct from the Polish winged hussars, who were pivotal in the Battle of Vienna, Hungarian hussars laid the foundation for the light cavalry tradition that spread across Europe. IMO the Polish winged Hussars are in the top 5 all-time cavalry .

I totally made a fool of myself with this movie. Hussars maybe the name comes from but the best cavalry under this name was the Polish cavalry Hussaria which conquered Moscow among others

9:40 you clearly have no clue what you're talking about, when you say the Prussians won decisively at Jena-Auerstedt. 😂 The Prussians got *HAMMERED* by the French at Jena-Auerstedt LOL. What are you talking about?

Clowns, the Polish Hussars captured Moscow and occupied it for two years. The name may have come from some Hungarian, but it was the Hussarai created in Poland that achieved the greatest victories on horses specially bred in Poland, with specially developed spears and a special attack technique, etc.

No mention even of Polish hussars at the Battle of Vienna whose charge is by all sources I have ever seen credited for the victory? Nor the crushing defeats those units inflicted on Russian and Swedish units in the conquest of Moscow.

While both Polish and Hungarian Hussars were cavalry units, the key difference lies in their evolution over time, with Polish Hussars becoming heavier, heavily armored shock cavalry, while Hungarian Hussars generally developed into lighter, less armored cavalry, eventually abandoning shields and heavier armor altogether; this distinction largely stemmed from the different military strategies and needs of their respective nations, with Polish Hussars primarily focused on heavy charges against enemy infantry, while Hungarian Hussars often engaged in more mobile raiding tactics.

Key points to remember:

Origin:

Both types of Hussars originally stemmed from Serbian mercenaries who migrated to Hungary, but the Polish military adopted and significantly developed the unit further.
