What's new in Firebase 2017

Between Cloud Functions, DebugView and StreamView in Analytics, and Unity support, Firebase has certainly been busy since we first announced the platform at Google I/O last year. And this year we announced a whole new set of features, including new Google Analytics improvements, Performance Monitoring, Phone Number Authentication, Open Source SDKs, and AdMob reporting. Nice!, I would also like to see Firebase evolving to a multi-model real-time database (key-value, documents and graphs). Support for transactions and schema definition through GraphQL would be great too (something similar to Graphcool).

if one is using the firebase sdk for analytics, why call it google analytics ? besides did it not start out as google analytics anyway and then firebase came along and that became the recommended way to do implement analytics ?

Is Firebase HIPAA Compliant?
I want to make a health care app using firebase which will store patient details in firebase database a pdf of information in firebase storage.
is it safe to use firebase for this app, I mean will it be compliant with HIPAA?
