Your review hits all of the important points. May I point out a couple more things? First, my room is somewhat similar to yours with light colored walls and a window to one side of where I sit. My C920 does not show any extra red tint. Maybe the cameras vary a little or maybe it's something to do with the computer or camera software you're using, who can say? Logitech has free downloadable software called Logitech Capture which offers a good number of adjustments so you can "tune" the color a little, among other things. Second, it's worth mentioning that if you're streaming or on a 4-way conference call then your image on screen is quite small, like a quarter of the screen or less. In that case you don't need high resolution. The C270 looks crisp and clear at that size so you can save money there if need be. By the way, sitting closer to the camera and speaking softly will improve the sound from the built-in microphone on all of these webcams.
