Renaissance LIVE - Can You Understand - Bass Cover HD
Показать описание
Bassline AS PLAYED note-for-note by PROG Rock Band, Renaissance bass player, Jon Camp, from this remarkable LIVE in the Studio recording from 1974, and just released in April 2021 as a RARE video This video features only the first 3 minutes of Instrumental music including the spectacular bassline playing 'counterpoint' to the piano/keyboards. And this has been my transcription project for the last three (3) days. So this video really is a 'World Premiere' of this Bass Cover.
*Important note to Bass Players! -- In order to play along to this video with YOUR bass, consider that this song was recorded just a bit sharp (#) with respect to A - 440, so YOU must tune to A - 440 and then tighten each string just a little. Okay? Example: In this video, 0.24 - 0.26 is 'A' for this song.
My bass is a vintage Rickenbacker 4001 bass manufactured in May 1973 with its original pickups. Both pickups are on full power, and both tone switches are turned all the way clockwise. The strings are new DR HI-BEAMS 45 -105 roundwound strings, and the bass is playing through a Marshall B25 MK-2 amplifier with no additional pre-amp nor sound effects. The Tone Controls on Marshall amp: Bass between 4 and 5 o'clock, Mid at 3 o'clock, Treble at 5 o'clock or full.

I own no part of this music. This is an educational video where my bass is mixed a little louder than the band so it may be easily heard. Aspiring bass players may see where to place there fingers on the fretboard and where to find the notes as played on the original recording.
