Very interesting. I only knew Scolia so far. Some competition is always good! What is (for me) a big disadvantage compared to the scolia, is the replacement board. 130 bucks - where with scolia you can use whatever board you want.

You're brave putting a TV that close to the board. My kids would have broke it first try and then cried about it like it was an accident

What did it do when your flight came off? Did it register the miss or did you have to enter something for the miss? Just thinking of players on my team who might miss the board entirely. We play in the lowest division in our steel tip league and some of the players are new and not so good yet. So just curious how smart boards, both bristle and electronic register someone missing the board. Oh one question came to mind. Being a player of video games online where you get some people who cheat. What does the board register or do if you were to walk up to the board and push the darts into a number? Does it see your hand and invalidate the dart? Just thinking of future online play with something like this.

It is still so cool. I have been watching online at tech like this over the years. I would love to see bristle boards become smart boards. Integrate it with a scoring app or let it integrate with any scoring app so those who use something like Dart Connect, for example, for their leagues could use the boards and let the other app keep the league score and standings etc.

I purchased one of these myself. Amazing product, except a few problems. First? It doesn't allow online play against other people. That seems like a huge "miss" for a $1, 000 product. Second, if you use steel tip darts and accidentally hit the outer "ring" inside that black plastic housing where they painted the numbers on it? It'll punch holes right through it. While they do sell replacement cork dart boards to mount in it, they don't seem to have any way to replace that other ring if it starts getting damaged and looks bad. Lastly and most unfortunately? Mine was accidentally knocked off my basement wall the other night and fell to the floor. It cracked the outer casing on one side, but worse? The AC adapter's power jack and the HDMI video output ports were both broken loose from the circuit board in it -- so it won't power on and the video cable won't even stay tightly inserted in it anymore. Completely ruined! When I called for support, a woman answered the phone but said she really didn't know a lot about the Prodigy system and couldn't tell me if there was a process to get it repaired!

If the board has a video output, why did you have to hook the app up to your TV? Wondering about that HDMI video out on the board.
