Pep Guardiola is truly in a class of his own. While some argue that his success is solely attributed to the unlimited funds at his disposal, I beg to differ. This man is a football genius, operating on a level entirely unique to him. Even Liverpool fans, who may claim that Jurgen Klopp matches Pep's prowess, should acknowledge the distinction. It took Klopp eight years to modify his 4-3-3 system, whereas Pep has continuously reinvented his teams. Moreover, Klopp himself has adopted the box midfield, a tactical approach popularized and perfected by Pep. This underscores just how influential Guardiola is.

Pep is more focused on players who won't screw simple passes up, rather than players who can play pinpoint 40 yard diagonals. Considering the precursor to misplacing a simple pass is usually a bad first touch (which themselves are often a result of a poor pass from a teammate), it makes perfect sense that Pep goes for capable dribblers with great ball control. He has done this for most of his managerial career.

Their signings can often do the pinpoint 40 yard diagonals too - but that's very much secondary and down to the calibre of player he tends to have, especially with KDB at his disposal.
