Couldn't the police have gotten to the next train stop in time to arrest him? I've seen how quick police are to respond when someone is flying a drone over migrant hotels.

And nobody will even try to help because they realise they'll get fined or jailed while the person with the knife would get a slap on the wrist. The good Samaritan who was white, on the NY train which ended up with a black man being unalived is the perfect example of why they don't help anymore.
