Review: Coin-Op: The Arcade Guide

I look at Darren Doyle's "Coin-Op: The Arcade Guide", from GreyFox Books. As should be clear from the title, it's a guide of popular coin-operated arcade games. Though it is a visual delight, how does it stand up to my usual scrutiny? And do I recommend it?

Really enjoy the review here extremely detailed coverage on the book and great constructive criticism on what was done right and incorrect throughout the book. The Extra Gem section was intended to be hidden from the page count as an undiscovered "extra' or " gift' review, but makes sense to what you have uncovered here in relation to it's sequencing.

The book was supposedly proof-read but, but as you've found that person can not be used again as I myself found lots after it had gone to press. The games that were presented on the single pages were new additions as part of a stretch goal for the kick starter and chosen by the backers of the book as you may have remembered. I would have loved to include more company profiles within the book just to note, but I was under extreme pressure to finish the book so the book could be in the hands of people before xmas 2020. But all in all this review was excellent and just to mention your the first person to find the Easter egg in the Data East piece 😉 I can finally reveal so massive kudos to you 👍

And hey? you never mentioned the awesome arcade sticker 😀

But thank you for the excellent and well researched review. I have taken a lot from this and will incorporate these findings and avoid these issues onto my next book covering that will be covering the Sega MegaDrive and will be professionally proof read.
