The Worst Excuse a Student has Given Me... aside from a dead grandma. Ask a Professor

Students come up with some pretty good excuses for not getting their work done, and some come up with truly lame excuses. Here is the lamest excuse I have ever heard from a students.

Microsoft Surface: We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

Lights: Mount Dog 18’ Ring Light Kit. It will light up your filming space so your videos will look clearer and film better. We started using it and it makes all the difference.

Sony Alpha Camera: We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you film on location.

Manfrotto Tripod: We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Dude!!!! For real! I am more likely to give students a second chance if they respect me enough to be honest and just admit they slacked!

I don't know if it's lame but it's true.. during finals week I got the flu.. it was really really bad. I went up to my Advertising teacher and asked.. "would I be able to take the final tomorrow instead oft his afternoon. I don't think I could make it through today without puking everywhere" she agreed and the next day's final was at 7:40am, so I went home and went to sleep. I woke and realized that I had double booked myself. I had another final at 7:40 in Modern City Sociology class (a piece of cake course) so I rushed over to Advertising and got there early and she let me start early.. about 45 minutes later I bolted as quickly as my tired body would take me (oh to be young again) and walked in to my second final almost 1 hour late! the professor said "I shouldn't give you this, but technically you still have time" so I sat down and rushed through his final (I just picked the most pessimistic answers for all ) I finished with plenty of time, from the front row of a huge auditorium I walked back up with 10 minutes to spare as people were still struggling with the test. He gave me a puzzled look. I got a B in Modern City and the grade I got in Advertising caused me to switch to becoming a Marketing Major from Advertising.

I used to work with the k- 12 set and I always warned them if you're going to lie, make it a good lie or at least entertaining. Telling a bad lie would get you into even worse trouble. Gotta put some effort into it! LMAO even other kids would call out a terrible lie😂

Some people have real tragedies and the professor down grades them because they are a real jerk.
