Visitors flock to DC for cherry blossom peak bloom

Day two of peak bloom brought thousands of visitors to the Tidal Basin cherry blossoms.

The nice weather Saturday attracted tourists and locals alike, eager to capture the sites. Australian, Willy Gomero, has seen cherry blossoms around the world, and said the D.C. blooms are just as beautiful.

“I went to Tokyo four years ago, and the display around there was also amazing,” he said.

The cherry blossoms are also a must-see photo op for many locals.

"We've taken thousands probably. Our group has been out here since 7, 6:45 or so," Kendall Moree said.

From family photos to engagement shoots, and graduation pics, hundreds worked to capture the perfects shots of the blossoms.
