The tail lights do that because the seal between the lights housing and the body of the car wasn't good from the factory, and let's water get into the tail light. The water shorts out the bottom LEDs.
It can be prevented, but can't be fixed easily (easiest way is a new set). Love the hybrid tail lamps, your whole Optima is goals!

The new lights look fresh they have more details in but the original ones look more simple they bothe look fresh, I seen that big turbo too :)

i have a q. i have the 2015 kia optima sx turbo. and my led tailights are burned out just like yours in the quarter panels. are you getting them replaced or do you think its not worth it? what do you suggest
