Provoker on Audiotree Live (Full Session)

Provoker is a melancholic post punk band out of Los Angeles, California. Their music is synth-forward, moody, and contains a “deep sadness, escapism, and idealism” as described by their vocalist Christian Petty. Originally founded by guitarist Jonathan Lopez as an exploration in film composition, a chance meeting with Petty at a horror movie screening has transformed the band into the addicting rhythmic yearning woven into their sound today. The right sound for danceable melancholy. Provoker has been my soundtrack when I needed these words the most. Spell Strike, Dark Angel, Sex With My Ex, Body Vehicle. Even when the rest of the Dark Angel EP doesn't get as much love on live performances, I still hope for them. They've just given these feelings a vehicle, a language that I needed, music. Hope to see a lot more of them everywhere. Thanks Audiotree, ever since Destroy Boys, I owe you quite a lot.
