Im part Samoan and my dad's Papuan and I was born and raised in PNG, all my life I've been surrounded by my fathers culture and people, my mum would speak to us in Samoan growing up but now I'm 24 and she doesn't anymore. And I don't speak Samoan or know anything about samoa, I've never been to my distant home samoa. But hearing this song makes me feel like there were sometimes my mum wanted to take us to samoa but she couldn't coz we didn't have enough money back then and surrounded by the papuan culture we never got in touch with our Samoan side that well. This song made me appreciate my Samoan side and motivates me to go bck home and look after my mother, as well as my father and siblings.. thank you STNDRD much love❤🇵🇬
