I just stumbled on to your site after taking the Santa Monica and Adventon Adventure 2 for test rides with a friend. Both good but I thought SM was better. But I sure liked Aventon's self cancelling turn signals. Should be required on all street oriented ebikes.
When I was shopping for my 1st ebike my priorities were low weight (under 45 lbs), comfort, suitable for street or gravel, & under $1, 500. After narrow it down to Aventon Soltera 2, Velotric T1ST, & Propella C9 V2. All were good bikes & my testing was by the seatofmypantsometer. I opted for the Propella & after 300 miles am very happy with it. Its a great bike made even more comfortable better with the Kinekt suspension seat post and stem. IT would be be great to see you do a comparison on the light weights.

Bit strange you didn’t test any offerings from the biggest e-bike company in the US. RadPower undoubtedly on par with Aventon and Lectric.

Ebike newbie here and I could use some assistance from this seemingly well informed comment section. There are so many makes and models and I'm just looking for something reasonably priced with a decent speed that would do well for fairly short distances. I don't need anything too fancy, fast or even all that good looking; I just want to get from A to B in a decent amount of time without having to sell an organ to do so.

I was going to buy the D2 but now may have to go look at the Santa Monica. Just seems like a better deal after watching the video.

I wish the hill was a bit more challenging. The eggs and water reminded me of 80's skate videos, or school fairs.

Bummer that the XPress didn't come out in time for a comparison like this, but good video

One of these things is not like the others. The XP lite is a folding minimalist ebike and has no business in this particular lineup. It's a decent little bike and does well for its intended purpose, just really out of place in this comparison.

Bruh I have had ebikes for years the best ones are the 800 n under ones they last longer and their customers service numbers actually work and help you fix problems with your bikes you want a bike they last 7plus years bud one your self for 1200 bucks

Battery capacity must be given in Wh. Ah alone is useless.

I can get a $600 EBike that is 1000w, 48AH and goes 28MPH....

and they all suck. who thought that a 750 wat limit was a good idea? We should limit gas power too!
Get an EUC, or build your own. bikes sadly have been made impractical (too big, heavy, expensive for what they bring to the table. just like modern women)

😂 I'm calling BS on this whole review, first of all the discovery 2 has way more power and speed than any of those pieces of junk. I own a couple of them and 10 no mad ones and if you unlock the discovery 2 it can reach speeds of 32 miles an hour I am 406 obviously you are pushing the Tahoe brand or whatever it is that Discovery 2 Stan's out way above any of those other bikes, look at the frame designs between the Tahoe versus the discovery😂😂😂😂😂😂

Bruh i got a good Ebike for $350, and there are much better bikes than listed here for $700-$900
$2000 is not "affordable" for most people

These are all terrible values compared to the Philodo H8 which for only $1299 gets you dual 1000 watt motors, a 35 mph top speed, 23 AH battery. can accelerate 0-20 in under 6 seconds
