for me i genuinely like seeing the houses of people i care about, they’re usually proud of it if they want to show you around and i like seeing that, though i might be biased cause i also really like architecture and interior design. plus it’s always more comfortable going to the bathroom and not having to ask.

"Hey is this subway tile?" Is just golden 🤣 honestly though, getting a whole house tour is a little excessive sometimes, just show me the basics - toilet, garden, bedroom if im an overnight guest, kitchen, and where i can put my bag and shoes.

Tours are important, it’s a sign of trust between the home owner/renter and the guest. It’s a nice opportunity for the home owner/renter to show off their personality and personal style. It lets the guest know where all the important rooms are. And also for safety reasons, if there was a fire or something the guest would have a better idea of how to escape.

I love house tours. It’s interesting to see what someone’s house looks like, and there are a lot of rooms you’ll probably never see again. Maybe I’m just curious? I like to get ideas for my future dream house build.
