After departing the group he pursued a solo career and released dozens of albums under Motown Records , Warner Brothers, MCA Records and ABC Records.

He revisits his classic song "Cause I Love You". His music has been sampled by several artist including Kanye West, Twista, Jeezy, Talib Kweli, Black Thought, Mobb Deep, Scarface and many others. Lenny Williams also discusses his latest album, single and music video "Fine".
