Apexcam 4K Action Camera Review

Here is a budget 4K action camera from a company called Apexcam that says it boasts 4k with EIS. After putting this to the test, actually only a few video samples, I called it quits as the image quality is horrible in my opinion, there is no EIS at 4K nor at 1080 and the 1080 looks like 720 upsampled to look like 1080. I know it's only $59, but honestly you can get much better like the Mijia 4K action camera that is only a little bit more.
Sorry, but this is a camera that I can NOT recommend at all.

Thanks for this review! Knew it was too good to be true at that price haha! It's a good deal for someone looking to save, but ultimately I realised I'm better off just holding out and buying a proper camera that will give me better bang for my buck

Which is why its rated highly on amazon. Ill be sending mine back for sure and contacting amazon with my disappointment of their "recommendation"

Thanks for being honest. I think there are cameras that for a little bit more money are superior. If a person didn’t do any research, and fell for a Facebook ad, or a “glamor” shot from a junk camera, I could see that putting someone off of a hobby, or relaxation time. The same goes with drones, there are some budget friendly ones that do very well, then there are some that are expensive but are junk as well. Keep being honest.

You are reviewing their bottom of the barrel camera that is less than $50. Maybe you might be interested in the Apex X80 dual screen? It has a Sony IMX 576 sensor so you get true 24.8 megapixels for stills. That is NOT a fantastic low light sensor but quite good in any other light... In addition the camera kit is loaded with a ton of stuff that works on GoPros or other action cameras so if you upgrade you have a kit- and it is under $90 USD. Yes. I own this camera. Comes with everything except the sd card.

gah I wish I watched this before buying! I just bought the #Apexcam 4K M80 Air and it pretty much sucks. There were a ton of 5 Star reviews but I'm guessing that they were paid for by the seller!?! I was walking and holding the camera fairly steady and the video images were wobbly like shooting on an old iPhone. The external built in Mics did not represent true sound at all! There was staticky sound during the playback of the 30 minute video I shot today. The lens of the #Apexcam is also a big disappointment - its basically a *Fisheye lens. I was under the impression that the camera had a Wide Angle lens but I wasn't expecting the video images to look warped!! My iPhone 11 took way better video and sound. I was really hoping to find the *diamond in the rough* - but nope! I want my money back!

Works as a great dashcam I keep on my bike if only for catching bad drivers and their plates. Couldnt care less if it got stolen, unlike a $600 go pro. Put it on the dog see the world from her PoV running in the bush. I even put it on my kid for the park. Shes had a boy 3 years older straight bullying her for 3 years since she was 6, hes old enough to be charged. Its all I need. Tried it for youtube videos mountain biking, it was garbage, clearly not made for that.
