I’ve been battling with this for years. Waking up in the middle of the night fighting for air because your esophagus is clogged with acid is absolutely terrifying, not to mention painful.

Thank you Dr. David Hill,  I will change my eating habits.  My problems is that I
eat heavy meal late at night after 11 pm,  then after sleeping one to two hours,
I feel a gush of burning liquid to my throat and to my ears, then I could not breath
when I tried to clear my throat, all I fee is burning oily feeling.  One I night,  I drank
very warm water to clear the oily feeling in my throat, but I could not go back to
sleep for a long lest that it might come back again.

So I do not smoke or drink, I'm not obese, I'm not over eating and last meal 4-5 hours before bed time, I eat healthy food and don't eat fry food or junk food, I don't drink coffee either, my pillow is elevated and yet I still can get at least twice a month terrible reflux that leaves me breathless and burning, recently it put me to emergency cause I couldn't breath and pain was unbearable, I had bronchitis-like symptoms after it for over a week, so its acid obviously got into my bronches. I've tried it all - all OTCs and I'm on Prilosec for 2 years, nothing works. It seems to me that real issue is that stomach is sluggish and gas stuck somewhere in depths of my stomach and it's only wanna escae when I completely relaxed and falling a sleep. So the air bubble comes along with the stomach acid. I cannot spend money and time on doctors anymore, none of the advices makes any difference, this video just repeat the same stuff. I don't know if I ever will ge good night sleep...

Or cure acid reflux completely by going on a low sugar liquid diet for about a month (blend all you meals).
Acid reflux stops within two days, injured esophagus has a chance to heal naturally, your body forgets its regurgitation 'habit', stomach and bowels do not have to work so hard (it gets a 'vacation'), good stomach bacteria start to win again over bad bacteria.
Tell everyone for years later ( just like me)

I think I'm going to start Keto in the morning. I can't handle this. Lately taking at least 1 capsule of Betaine HCL with each meal is helping. Because Dr. Berg says when we struggle with Gerd etc our stomach acid is actually too low and betaine HCl (with Pepsin) increases our stomach acid helping break down and digest all the food. I'm also gonna try digestive enzymes! 🙏

For those still suffering, try having a can of club soda half an hour before bed. It often helps my more difficult reflux episodes at night. 💗
