Some bars and restaurants face an uncertain future after new restrictions were imposed to try to curb the upswing of coronavirus throughout the state.

HUGE Victory For Washington State Citizens!!

Mike McKee, co-founder of Restore Washington, joined other citizens in a lawsuit filed in May to challenge the Governor’s Emergency Proclamations. Shockingly, Governor Inslee told the Court that he could not be sued because he will not enforce the Proclamations. Today, the United States District Court agreed: Governor Inslee does not, will not, and cannot enforce his Proclamations.

“This is great news for citizens of Washington, ” said McKee. “We at Restore Washington have always known that the Proclamations went too far, and that rule by press conference and enforcement raids is impermissible and un-American. The Governor finally admitted what we have always known: he doesn’t have the authority to enforce these so-called mandates. If businesses or individuals like his recommendations, they can comply, but as he told the United States District Court, he can’t make you follow his foolish edicts. After this ruling from the Court, Governor Inslee has to publicly admit what he has told the Courts over and over: his Proclamations are suggestions only.”
