Can you imagine if this actually happened in a game
A new half life comes out, everyone's super excited, the plot is teased for a really long time and it finally releases. The story is as good as ever, the gameplay is solid and fun, but halfway through the game, Gman just pops out of a blue barrel to start his monologue.
